With only a couple more days until the start of the Sundance Film Festival, we’re very excited to be on our way out to Park City and have “Charlie and the Rabbit” shown at one of the biggest film festival in the country.

(San Francisco, CA – December 10, 2009) – Four Thirty Three Pictures announced today the short narrative film Charlie and the Rabbit has been selected to premier at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. This is the first Sundance screening for Co-Directors, Robert Machoian and Rodrigo Ojeda-Beck.
Charlie and the Rabbit is a short narrative film that focuses on a four-year-old boy who sets off on an adventure to hunt down his own rabbit.
“I am very excited to be a part of the Sundance Festival this year,” Ojeda-Beck said. “It is an honor considering the amount and high quality of submissions.”
Charlie and the Rabbit is the second film of a three films series. Rodrigo and Robert looked at children’s ideas of imagination and reality. Machoian says. “We’re interested in making films of observation, that deal with elements that transcend age.”
The Festival’s Short Film Program comprises 70 short films from U.S. and international filmmakers selected from 6,092 submissions. The 2010 Sundance Film Festival runs January 21-31 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah.
“This year’s short films show extraordinary creativity and originality. Year after year, it’s a privilege to showcase incredibly high-quality filmmaking, courageous storytelling, and some of the most exciting new voices in independent film,” said Kim Yutani, Sundance Film Festival Programmer.
The Sundance Film Festival’s shorts program has long been established as a discovery for directors, including: Wes Anderson, Todd Haynes, Paul Thomas Anderson, David O Russell, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, Tamara Jenkins, Ted Demme, Tim Blake Nelson, Alexander Payne, Paul Dinello, Martin McDonagh, and Jason Reitman.
